Mr. Bouzekri analyzed PX-PTA-MEG supply and demand in 2005-2020. He pointed out the annual growth rate of PX demand was about 5.7% and might be 5.2% in 2016-2020; PTA capacity may reach 116.1 million tons and some capacities will be closed. MEG capacity will continue to grow to 58.6 million tons by end 2020. He then stated the global evolution of PET from 2010 to 2020 and forecasted the growth rate of PET bottle chip capacity to lower to around 5.4% in 2016-2020 from 6.8% in 2005-2015.
