China PET bottle chip export status and forecast

Mr. Xue divided his presentation into three parts: 
Firstly, export volume growth restored from 2015. Exports to Japan, Indonesia and the Philippines remained the top three in the recent two years. Exports to Russia and Ukraine recovered in 2016. 

Secondly, anti-dumping issue continues weighing on exports. Indonesia and Japan filed anti-dumping investigations against China-origin PET in 2016. Export price spread between China and Indonesia has been shrinking, even entered into negative territory. 

Thirdly, advantage in export price weakens. Freight rate increases. Road transportation cost also increased and indirectly raised export cost. 

With demand growth slowing and new capacity expanding, trade conflict and protectionism may appear frequently. Transmission between traditional and emerging consuming markets is worth concerning.
